Age of Mythology Windows 10 Update fix n Solution | 2018

Age of Mythology (AoM) is a real-time-strategy video game developed by Ensemble Studio and published by Microsoft Games Studio. It was release in 2002 .At present a steam version of game is available to play. But no sequel of game have been developed yet. So old one is best for playing version for non steam gamer. But the latest of version games does not fully support the game some error cause the game to be crashed without running after the intro. But i have finally found a clever solution after a lot of searching.

Firstly the problem

The intro played well but then game stuck on black screen  either with loading circle. But whatever  i try i never get pass the black screen there's no  sound , nothing.
Cause

May be due to  multiple Windows update so that it doe not fully support the game.

Solution:

After multiple time search i found a way to run the game.
▶Before installation set the compatibility of the installer the autoun.exe file  to windows XP SP2

1. Open autorun.exe from  the disc or setup file location.Open it property.
2. On Property Windows select the Compatibility tab.

3. Compatibility tab., Select "Select this program in Compatibility mode.
   
4. Select the  Windows XP service Pack 2 in dropdown option
   

▶Now install the game in default location make sure to create desktop shortcut.
▶After complete installation of game.
▶Go to Desktop And find the games shortcut and open its properties
▶On shortcut Tab of properties replace Target :

this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\aom.exe"
with

for 64bit

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\aom.exe xres = 640 noSound noIntroCinematics bpp=16 window lowend terrainHalfDensity lowpoly waterbump skipMipMapLevels=1 graphicsDetail=2"
 
for 32bit
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\aom.exe xres = 640 noSound noIntroCinematics bpp=16 window lowend terrainHalfDensity lowpoly waterbump skipMipMapLevels=1 graphicsDetail=2"

If installation location is different then
"(shortcut Location path) xres = 640 noSound noIntroCinematics bpp=16 window lowend terrainHalfDensity lowpoly waterbump skipMipMapLevels=1 graphicsDetail=2"






It seems dodgy but it really isn't there is no installation of  this error till now
this meant you're just telling your machine to adjust the screen so you could play this game.
